I have heard of hydrocarbon typing/formation productivity from chromatographic analysis with Haworth et al for C1,C2,C3, C4, C5 in combinations. Can anyone shed more light on the matter?

Do you have any experience of unusual chromatograph result in overpressure transition zone, such as the lower value of C2 compared to C3? What might be the cause?
